Sports Facility

  • The Sports Department sees to the overall development of the students that is their physical, mental, psychological and sociological development.
  • For classes I to V, we concentrate on improvement of their motor abilities like walking, running, jumping and other neuromuscular coordination.
  • For classes VI to XII, the concentration is more on team game, skills, techniques, tactics and various combinations to improve their integration, coordination as well as their social values.
  • The Department also conducts specialised coaching sessions for games like cricket, football, table tennis, basketball and badminton.
  • We have also conducted the Khelo India SAI Physical Fitness Tests for all the classes from class I to class XII.
  • We have conducted FIT India activities like yoga, cycling, running as well as sports linked/ related integrated activities like Quiz and poster making.
  • We also teach the students some basic techniques like warm up and cool down exercises as well as exercises which can be used for overactive children to use their energy in a positive manner.
  • The students not only play the games but also learn their rules and regulations as well as various field measurements.
  • During the Sports Day we have conducted various track events for junior and senior students and other sports like javelin, shot put as well as long/triple/high jumps for both boys and girls.
  • We also arranged for Fun Races for the students of the primary classes where they learnt coordination, team work and concentration.
  • We also helped to celebrate the World Yoga Day on 21 June.
  • On the occasion of Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations, we have trained the students both slow and fast marching, saluting as well as moving in a disciplined manner.
