State Teacher’ Award 2016

Ms. Shakuntala Ghosh has been awarded the State teacher’s Award in the year 2016.This highly coveted award is given by the Delhi State Government to few teachers on 5th of September commemorating the immense contribution of the teaching community on the occasion of the Teacher’s Day.Ms. Shakuntala Ghosh has been teaching History at St Paul’s school since July 1985. She teaches senior secondary classes. She has also been teaching Sociology in the senior school.

Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program

On behalf of United States Department of State, Ms. Sudha Bakshi was congratulated on September 5, 2014 on her selection for the Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA). She has been chosen for this award as a testament to her dedicated service to secondary education and as an international recognition for her excellence as a teacher.

During this program, she will participate in a six-week professional development program at a school of education at a U.S. university, combining academic seminars with a two to three week field experience in a U.S. secondary school. Her participation will bring a global perspective to U.S. classrooms and it is hoped this will be the basis for long-term collaboration between her home and a U.S. school. She will also visit Washington, D.C. for her orientation and participate in a variety of cultural and community activities throughout the program.

USIEF is pleased to inform her that her outstanding record of teacher leadership, excellent application and interview, and her TOEFL score have led to a fellowship award for the Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA), a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State, implemented by IREX.

Delhi Sanskrit Academy

It is a great honor for St. Paul’s School that Mrs. Bina Dhondiyal was felicitated on 29 September 2014 by the Delhi Sanskrit Academy under Delhi Govt. with the Vidyalays Sanskrit Seva Samman 2013-14 based on class X result in Sanskrit. She was honoured with a certificate, Books and a shawl.

State Teachers’ Award

Dr. (Mrs) B Shalini ,PGT Commerce, was conferred Delhi State Teacher’ Award on the occasion of Teachers’ Day by the Directorate of Education, Delhi Government for her outstanding contribution in the field of academics.

The event was organised on 5th September 2014 at Tyagaraj Sports Complex, Lodhi Road. Sh. Deepak Mohan Spolia, Hon’ble Chief Secretary of Delhi was the Chief Guest of the day. It may be appreciated that she was among the first ten awardees out of a total of sixty teachers and she was also the third teacher in St. Paul’s school to get this coveted award.

Best District Principal Award

The Best District Principal for the year 2013- 2014 was awarded to Mrs. Rachel Thomas. As the students of St.Paul’s School performed exceptionally well in the four SOF – Olympiad exams during 2013-14.
