Say No To Crackers
A workshop was conducted by PHFI on Diwali awareness campaign on 12thOctober 2017.The team from Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) visited our school St. Pauls School, C-3,SDA, Hauz Khas for the Diwali awareness campaign comprises of Dr. Poornima Prabhakaran and her group . Dr Poornima is currently senior research scientist and associate Professor at the public health foundation of India. The others in the team includes environmental health researchers and child engagement experts.
PHFI conducted activities in School Auditorium and had a warm interactive session with students to imparts knowledge on pollution and measures to check them. Posture making completion was held on environmental problem. All the students have participated in the activities with full enthusiasm
Drive to encourage – “Say no to Crackers”
Approx. 25 students of VII, VIII and IX classes went to junior classes to promote anti cracker diwali and keep pollution free environment under the guidance of Mrs. Sunanda Sharma and Mrs. Anita Kumari Chauhan. In this drive they interacted with the students and explained them the importance of diwali and harmful effects of burning crackers on environment and specially on health, hence, they convinced students to make eco-friendly diwali.
