St. Paul’s School celebrated its maiden inter school competition ‘Reverberations SPS 2016’ on 29 and 30 July 2016 where Science Quiz, Debate and Logo Making competitions for Science and Commerce students took place with an endeavor to broaden the horizon of the students and to help them hone their creative and academic skills. 15 schools participated in the event. The function began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp followed by an invocation dance and the event was declared open by the Principal Mr. P. Joseph Cherian.
On 29 July the Director of the Nuclear Physics Centre Mr.Dinakar Kanjilal was invited as the guest of honour for the Science Quiz Competition. The event ended with the felicitation of the winners Sahoday Sr. Secondary school( Ist Position) followed by Green Fields school( 2nd position) and St. Anthony’s School (3rd Position).
Thereafter on 30 July, 16 schools participated in the Inter-School Debate competition on the topic ‘Star Ambassadors can pave the way to Brand Acceptance’. The Mother’s International School was declared as the best team. The judges of the event were Dr. Jyoti Dhawan, Associate Professor Kamla Nehru College and Dr. Jessy Abraham, Professor, Department of teacher and Non-formal education, Jamia Milia Islamia. On the same day, the Logo making competition was held which was judged by Mr. Mir Imtiyaz, Head of Department, Fine Arts Jamia Milia Islamia and Dr. Ratnabali Kant, Sculptor and Performance Artist. Amrita Vidyalayam bagged the first prize for the same. The gala event was a fine blend of aesthical and oratorical skills juxtaposed with melodious songs mesmerizing instrumental music and foot thumping dance performances.
