Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program
On behalf of United States Department of State, Ms. Sudha Bakshi was congratulated on September 5, 2014 on her selection for the Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA). She has been chosen for this award as a testament to her dedicated service to secondary education and as an international recognition for her excellence as a teacher.
During this program, she will participate in a six-week professional development program at a school of education at a U.S. university, combining academic seminars with a two to three week field experience in a U.S. secondary school. Her participation will bring a global perspective to U.S. classrooms and it is hoped this will be the basis for long-term collaboration between her home and a U.S. school. She will also visit Washington, D.C. for her orientation and participate in a variety of cultural and community activities throughout the program.
USIEF is pleased to inform her that her outstanding record of teacher leadership, excellent application and interview, and her TOEFL score have led to a fellowship award for the Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA), a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State, implemented by IREX.
